Where did the legends of Werewolves begin? Quite a few writers have believed that many werewolf and also vampire tales were probably designed to give an explanation of serial killings in times when we didn’t have scientific investigation methods. This particular explanation makes sense because a few of the same patterns associated with some present day serial killers are also the same ones related to werewolves, for example cannibalism, mutilation, and also recurring assaults. Throughout Medieval European countries, the corpses of many people put to death as werewolves ended up being cremated as opposed to buried in the ground as a way to stop them from getting raised from the dead as vampires. Greek mythology thought that the actual corpses of werewolves, if they are not destroyed, would certainly go back to life as vampires, wolves or even hyenas that roamed battlefields, consuming the blood of dying warriors. Many of the tales simply originated in Europe and migrated to the New World with the immigrants.
